Coffee With Pastors
If you are new to Cities or looking to get more involved then this event is for you! Some of our pastors will be downstairs in the Conference Room after the worship service to connect with you and share more about our church: who we are, our discipleship structures, and what it looks like to be a covenant member. We’ll also offer plenty of time for questions and conversation.

Students: Fellowship Friday Breakfast
Grades 7-12! Join us as we get together in two different formats throughout the summer: Paul’s Short Letter Series and Fellowship Friday Breakfasts.

Prayer Gathering
On the fourth Sunday of every month, a group meets upstairs in the Chapel to pray together. If you would like our pastors and/or our congregation to pray for you, please let us know via our prayer request form. If you have some exciting news about a birth, marriage, or other blessing – use our praise form to let us know how we can thank God and celebrate with you. Please join us for our next gathering!

Community Group Leaders Summit
CG Leaders – after the morning worship service, we’ll meet upstairs in the Chapel. Lunch will be provided for the whole family and then the kids will be dismissed to childcare next door in the Summit Room.

Child Dedication

Family Serve Saturday
Join other Cities families with your kids as we pack meals to aid in global hunger relief with Feed My Starving Children. We’ll meet up together at Feed My Starving Children’s Eagan location at 9:30am. Once we’ve completed our shift at 11:15am, we’ll eat a light brunch and debrief before heading out around 11:45am.

Student Missions Week
For this year’s Student Missions Week, we are gathering together for a week-long event focused on the motivation for and majesty of missions. We’ll spend five full days learning from some global missionaries who have served in places such as China and Brazil and Costa Rica, serving with some local ministries, and having fun being together throughout the week. Grades 7-12, please joins us for this very special event! Please register by June 9.

Multi-Church Young Adults Gathering
Bethlehem Baptist Church invites you to their second annual Multi-Church Young Adults Gathering at Tony Schmidt Regional Park (Arden Hills) on June 14! Join us for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship as we connect with young adults from Bethlehem Baptist Church, The North Church, and a few other local churches. Please RSVP so they can organize the correct amount of food.

Men‘s Breakfast: Making Yourself Useful
Join us for breakfast, worship, and a teaching on making yourself useful. We’ll meet together in the Chapel (upstairs).

The Foyer
The Foyer is an orientation on the mission and vision of Cities Church led by Pastor Jonathan Parnell. It is a great resource to learn more about our church, and take the next step in getting connected. The Foyer also serves as the introduction to Covenant Membership.

Church Picnic
Our first picnic of the summer is coming up! Join us for a grill out, games, and fun activities. To help cover the cost of food, the meal is $5/person. You’re welcome to pay ahead of time or in-person at the picnic. We also need plenty of volunteers.

You Still Want to Be Happy: What It Means to Desire God
Join Pastors David Mathis and Marshall Segal along with John Piper and Tony Reinke from desiringgod.org for an evening of teaching and worship. This event at Bethlehem Baptist Church starts at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are free, but registration is required due to limited space.

Grand Old Day Outreach
Join us for a brief evangelism training on how to start gospel conversations, followed by some “on the streets” outreach in our own neighborhood. We’ll split up into groups and join our fellow Twin Citizens on Grand Avenue seeking to share the gospel with at least one person we engage in conversation. After about 90 minutes enjoying Grand Old Day, we’ll circle back up for a short debrief together.

TCI: The Saving Work of Christ
The Cities Institute seeks to provide theological foundations for a life of discipleship and gospel advance. This seminar on Friday, May 30 will cover the saving work of Christ as expressed in our Leader Affirmation of Faith.

Student Night
Through the consistent rhythm of sharing a meal, teaching, confession, prayer, and fun together; our desire is to fulfill the overarching mission of Student Ministry which exists to cultivate a deep love for Jesus in all of life. To this end, we would love for all students grades 7-12 to join us every other Sunday evening!

Pizza With the Planter
Meet our new Church Planting Resident, Will Stueve! After the service, please join us in the Chapel (upstairs) to get to know Will and his family, hear about his vision for church planting, and enjoy some pizza.

Jean Swenson’s Celebration of Life
Please join us on Wednesday, May 14 at Bethel Christian Fellowship (1466 Portland Ave. St. Paul) to remember and celebrate the life of our late sister in Christ. A visitation hour will begin at 10am. The service will begin at 11am, followed by a noon lunch.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Joni and Friends or the Spinal Cord Society.

Membership Meeting
This meeting is for all of our covenant members. We will begin in the Sanctuary around noon so that you have time to find lunch and transition childcare after the worship service. Please feel free to bring your food with you to the meeting. Please sign up if your kids will be in childcare (available for ages 0-10 in the Summit Room).

Women’s Book Study
How does understanding ourselves as exiles in a world that is not our home change the way we share the good news of Jesus and live the good news in our every day settings? Clark guides us through the book of 1 Peter to answer these questions, redefine our expectations, and reinvigorate our hope. Join us for four sessions (May 4-June 15) as we discuss this book.

Student Service Day
Grades 7-12, join us for a day of joyful service as the hands and feet of Jesus. We are excited to serve both our local community and the larger world through ministries like New Life Family Services and Feed My Starving Children.

Candid: Young Adults
For this young adults gathering, we’ll meet in the Sanctuary for an evening of worship and prayer. We’ll also be inviting young adults from other local churches in the area! Subscribe to our Candid newsletter for updates and reminders.

Easter Sunday
Join us as we worship Jesus on Easter Sunday, celebrating the resurrection of our savior! As we do every Sunday, we will gather for worship at 10am in the Sanctuary.
There will be no childcare provided on Easter Sunday.

Maundy Thursday Service
Join us for this special service on Thursday, April 17 at 7:30pm. On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate together when we gather for worship at 10am. Childcare will not be provided on Maundy Thursday nor Easter Sunday.

Kids Baptism Class
Kids, have you ever considered taking steps toward getting
baptized? Have you ever wondered why our church baptizes people in the first place?
If “yes” to either, please join Pastors David Mathis and Mike Schumann for these two sessions (April 6 & 13) designed specifically for you.

Women’s Gathering

Men Who Love God
What does it mean to be a man who fervently and wholeheartedly loves God?
Men of Cities! Join us for breakfast (Chick-fil-A and other items), worship, and a teaching and discussion around this topic. We’ll meet in the Chapel (upstairs).

Daddy Daughter Valentine’s Dance
Dads, you’re invited to take your daughter(s) out for a special evening full of fun activities! At this event you will be able to enjoy activities together such as dinner, Valentine’s Day card decorating, a dance party, sugar cookie decorating, and a photo booth.

Churchwide Worship Night
Join us in the sanctuary for a churchwide worship night, hosted by Candid. This will be an evening of extended worship through song and scripture readings from the gospel of John. All are welcome! Subscribe to our Candid newsletter for updates and reminders.
